Location Codes

Location Codes let visitors connect to a specific wall without a QR code. Share a code with a customer, staff member, or screen and they can pair instantly using that code. You can assign a name to each code so you know which wall it belongs to, set a custom short code, and optionally add an expiration date so access revokes automatically.

Look & Feel

Wall style

Transition style Crossfade and slide transitions are configured per layout in the Layout Designer. Urgent glow on on-demand messages Pulses a warm gold border around the wall three times when a message is sent directly to the wall (bypassing the queue). Animation quality Reduce if the display looks laggy during message changes. Tiles beyond the limit snap instantly to their final value. Render scale Renders the board at a lower internal resolution then scales it up — the GPU handles the stretch at near-zero cost. At 4K, 75% or 50% dramatically reduces rasterisation work without a visible quality loss. Wall layout Info bar requires a weather ZIP to show temperature. Clock always shows in the info bar and ticks every second independently of the main rotation. Tile depth Enhanced adds outer shadows on all four tile edges for a more realistic recessed appearance. Slightly higher GPU cost — best suited for high-powered displays.

End User Access

Allow end-user messages User message duration (seconds) How long a user's message shows before the wall returns to its mode. Default: 45 s.

Session timeout Blocks submissions N minutes after a user first authenticates. Daily reset time Blocks submissions after this time daily (wall's timezone). Leave blank to disable.

Content Filtering

Allow emoji in messages End users can include emoji in their messages. Only applies to Chat Bubbles wall style where emoji display correctly. Enable obscenity filter Automatically rejects or masks end-user messages containing profanity. Custom blocked words One per line. Leet-speak variants caught automatically.

Community Feed

Opt this wall into the AlohaWall community pool — messages sent by end users here are available as content on any wall running in Community Feed mode. City & state are shown on the receiving display alongside each message.

Share this wall's messages with the community pool End-user messages sent to this wall will be eligible to appear on other community-mode walls across AlohaWall.
